While prolonged exposure to the sun is never advisable if the proper precautions are taken waterproof sunscreen every two hours and 20 minutes before venturing out, I cannot see you doing any damage in 3 days.

i need advice for the trip...
can i 'hurt' it more...or worsen it by swimming in 90deg sun?...
with or without suntan oil?

i'll definitely see doc for sure but i dun think anything conclusive will come about in 1 day since i leave on Wednesday.

You want sunscreen, not suntanning oil.

go tan, swim, etc... 🙁

UV rays should kill anything bad... just be sure to not wear sunscreen.

huh?...u mean i can still swim?
why don't wear sunscreen?...wouldn't that encourage burning?

he's talking out of his ass, don't listen to him. UV ray damages DNA of living things, in this case your skin. you ALWAYS wear sunscreen when outside in sun for prolonged period of time.

i work with melanomas at my job. get it checked out ASAP. you don't want to receive bad advices from Dr. ATOT and leave your life to a game of chance.

I hope you enjoy your vacation!😀 (combination of those smilies would represent my emotions perfectly)

Well, being that I have had a few skin cancers removed, I'd say it looks like a basil cell carcinoma. But don't take my word or anyone else on this forum who is not a Doctor and go make an appointment with a dermatologist.

FYI, Basil Cell Carcinomas are really not fatal, and can usually be delt with on the first visit. But assuming that it is a BCC, don't let it go any longer. It could develop into a more serious skin cancer. Let the Doc have a look, and don't sweat it.

thanks...i will get it checked out...my doc's office is closed tomorrow but i'll try to arrange for
a special visit...and he prolly needs to refer me to a specialist. fvck me!
