trying to sell something on craigs list and I get this email.

I am urgently in need of your item and i need to know if it is still available for sale , as i shall be paying $600 for the item and i shall be making an immediate payment for the item thru money order or cashier check

I shall also be taking care of the shipping thru my fedex account which they will come pick it up at your resident after you got the check cleared

If you are ok with this arrangement quickly get back to me with ur full name, address, phone number and ur email address so i can proceed for an immediate payment.

Although it sounds ok if I wait till the check clears, everything feels so fishy...

Generally any time someone refers to your item as "your item" it's a scam, at least it seems that way.

yes, it is a Nigerian Scam.

The check will clear; the bank will then find that it was a fake and would withdraw that money from your account....

i think so too. if someone's buying your stuff without knowing what it is... it just doesn't make any sense.
