Does this image flicker on your LCD ?

I don't think flicker is the proper term since LCD's shouldn't flicker due to how they work. If anything it's a bit of an optical illusion that merely appears to look like it's moving while it is just a pattern that the eye cannot discern.

If you mean you can detect 'waves' moving throughout the image, then that is a faulty cable or inferior quality LCD. "Flicker" is the detection of the refresh of a CRT screen, since it draws the entire screen line-by-line x times per second, where x is the refresh rate. Since LCD's do not draw line by line, they do not flicker like CRT's do.

Anyways, no flicker for me on a Dell 2005fpw via DVI or a Samsung 710T by VGA.

@xtknight:

well, I justed tested the LCD via DVI on 2 other computers.

eVGA 6600 GT (all stock) computer = same flicker results as with geforce 6800

ATI Radeon 9600 Pro (all stock) computer = same flicker results as with geforce 6800

So this tells me, that, it is either the LCD, or the DVI cable that came with the LCD. The electricity used was from 1 (without UPS) and 2 different Belkin UPS'es that both have AVR.

I don't have a different DVI cable to test with, but it doesn't seem likely that the DVI cable is the culprit.

I don't think it is the DVI cable, but instead, the LCD, Since the whole blue block will flicker in some parts of the screen, and will not flicker in other parts. (as I have already mentioned)

I originally noticed it when making a new shortcut in Windows XP.

That's where the blue block is from. (I think I'll add this to my OP)
