Sandra isn't even good for reliable IDE drive benchmarks. HDTach all the way if it's got to be Windows.

You get 50 MB/s, drive maker says 52 max, so that's OK. Your CPU load is way high though, help yourself to LSI's latest drivers from www.lsilogic.com. In case your host adapter isn't listed on the drivers page yet, use the link for the chip - it's a 53C1000.

If you got the latest driver already, check you're running the RIGHT one. LSI's SCSI chips have had three levels of sophistication over the long time they've been around, basic (up to 53C875), hi-performance (895, 896), and U160 (1000, 1010). The newer chips run with the drivers for the older ones too, but then their advanced capabilities don't get used. You should be running the sym_u3 driver.

er lol i had seti running in the back ground on a command line and forgot to post that info

i went to the driver page and loaded the newest driver.
