Yeah Kent Hovind's kind of a nut. I wasn't aware that he believes that dinosaurs never existed...

But don't be fooled by this guy, there are actually many reputable Phd scientists involved in Creation research. Check these guys out:

Answers in Genesis - http://www.answersingenesis.org
ICR - http://www.icr.org

answers in genesis is generally good stuff.... they hit challenges head on... look at the main graphic on the site... it shows a kid and it says, her dad died in 911, she wants to know where God was on that day.

Explain what you think "evolution" is, exactly.

Not for vaild scientific reasons.

sorry but your a damn fool if you think all of this just "came to be" by happen chance.

That's not what evolution says.

hahah thats an insane idea.
That's probably why it is YOUR caricature and not the real theory.

And why would we take your word for that given the obvious misunderstanding of evolution patently evident in your earlier statements?

but dont debate me, im not the scientist. i bow out now.
Hmmm... how convineint for you to drop in, take pot-shots, stake outlandish claims and then immediately escape before having to defend them.

Typical.

I can't believe there are serious six day creationists around today. I'll bet these people still believe in witches and magical faeries.

aliens built the pyramids. there are lots of dinosaurs that are aliens in egypt exept they are all covered by lots of sand. they had time machines and traveled to the future and watched several episodes of stargate. Jesus got stuck in the wrong era so he told them stories until a rescue mission came.

These are questions which have all been asked thousands of times before, by people much smarter than you or I. Check out the philosophy section of your local library.

lol no sh1t

Unfortunatly the large number of people that buy into Kent Hovind's bullsh1t are the kind of people who think "Science can't explain it so it MUST be God." Ya... that's usin your noggin.

"If evolution/big bang/whatever is true then there's no point to life! That sucks! Creation MUST be true because everything MUST have a purpose!"

The only support Creationists/IDers have are fallacious arguments.

I haven't watched the video. The Bible does not mention dinosaurs in any fashion that I recall.

That is the point. By which I mean, there is no point, this stuff happened randomly, humans created a point so they felt better about themselves, and could convince themselves that they 'understood'.

How come when I ask God (most of the time i even pray to "whatever it is thats out there") but when I ask God to prove itself, I see rainbows and shlt.
Because you're seeing what you want to see. You don't seriously think 'God/whatever is out there' is your little fvcking puppet do you? Taking some time out to make you a rainbow? Jeez

The depth and majesty of your religious world view transcends the mere facts that underpin the collective considered wisdom of centuries of Western civilization's fiercely dedicated pursuit of empirical truth and compels me to admit the only admissable conclusion: Penguins ARE unnatural!

Over the years I've met several people who believe the biblical story of Adam and Eve, the flood and the divinity of Christ was an absolute fact. In fact I was married to a practicing Mormon for close to ten years.

hey Bush and Co actually 'believed' that Saddam had the WMD and constituted a threat to the US.... enough to sacrifice hundreds of US soldiers and hundreds of billions of $....

don't ever underestimate the power of belief

The way I see it is this.

I have SEEN proof that Dinos existed but I have NEVER seen anything that leads any credence to the whole "God" thing.

When something can't be explained by a persons (all to often limited) views on how things work or how things came about existing, BLAME IT ON A IMAGINARY ALL KNOWING, ALL POWERFUL, SUPER BEING.

I mean really, aren't we as thinking, reasoning creatures past that point by now....

It's great that if you need a belief system like that to get you through life that there is one available, but still to go on and on about how it's TRUE, just because YOU want it to be and expecting or often times DEMANDING others to buy into it is just ludicrous IMO.

Ah yes...Fundies...The Christian Taliban..."If it ain't in the Bible, it didn't happen, or it doesn't exist"...
While there may be some truths in the bible, it is a work of "fiction" used to control the masses over the past several hundred years. Re-written periodically to suit the rulers of the lands, (King James version?) and things that they didn't like were changed or deleted...
X-tians have been allegedly been responsible for wiping out more knowledge than they have imparted over the past centuries...It's amazing to me, how many civilizations they have wiped out, because they wanted to spread X-tianity, and/or the beliefs contradicted what the X-tian book said...
Go back to the inquisition...what a dark period in human history...all over the belief in "magical winged sky creatures"...that no one can prove exist...

As much as you're obviously wrong about, it doesn't really surprise me you think that, too.

Only small minds think there is or only can be one point to life.

I don't have to defend your strawmen.

how come when I ask God (most of the time i even pray to "whatever it is thats out there") but when I ask God to prove itself, I see rainbows and shlt.
Because you do not think clearly.

bla bla bla

defend my strawmen? can you elaborate? I'm just stating that by my own personal experience, I have witnessed far to many "unnatural" circumstances that point to higher influence on what is going on around us. I'm sorry if someone else doesn't have similar experiences to go on, but thats not my problem. I've seen it. I've been far tooooo lucky in too many situations. It's not all chance.
