I'm using my laptop to hook up to my tv/home theater to play our mp3s for parties....

I also have a wireless keyboard/mouse to control everything so that the laptop stays safe. Problem is, the keyboard/mouse has 2 ps2 ports and my laptop only has one.... therefore i can either control the keyboard or mouse, but not both

Is there a PS2 -> USB converter that I can buy? I have 2 usb ports, so if i buy 2 converters... i should be set, right?

yeah a ps2->usb converter exists and would work

I've only seen them for mice, not for keyboards.

ah i assumed he could use the converter for the mouse and use the ps2 port for his keyboard.

i've never tried it w/ a keyboard before.

I've only seen USB -> PS/2 converters. Every mouse or keyboard that I've purchased in the last 5 years came with one.

They make PS/2 splitters so you can hook up your mouse and keyboard both on your single PS/2 port. Just about every computer store I've been to has them...

I have a PS2 to usb convertor, I has two PS2 ports, one for keyboard and one for the mouse.

I've also heard that you can just use a Y cable for PS2 on laptops and you can plug both keyboard and mouse.
