Does this exist?

Hey all, is there such a device that will allow me to connect my USB HP printer directly to my Router? Something like an adaptor, though I am not sure that would be enough...

What you need is a "print server." Think of it as a USB<->Ethernet adapter though in this case that's greatly oversimplifying. I/O Gear and Hawking make USB print servers but I've heard rumors of problems with HP USB printers. Depending on which printer you have, if it also has a parallel port, you have far more print server options. HP themselves make a print server called the JetDirect, it works well but isn't cheap.

Ah, I got it. Unfortunatley my HP does NOT have a parallel port. It is USB only. What i did just notice is that my router does have a built in print server as well. So, I guess a USB to parallel adaptor could help there... if that exists.

Search around (buy.com should have them). You need a USB print server. Simple as that. A print server that will have an R-J45 connection for a patch cable and a USB interface for the printer.
