Does this ever happen to your system? (motherboard/power related)

Whenever I turn my power supply to the ON position (for PSU's with a switch, from O - | ), the system powers on for about 3 seconds, then shuts off.
(for PSU's without a switch, it happens when I plug in the power cable to the power supply - basically, whenever power is supplied to the unit).

It's not really causing any harm (perhaps in the long run, it's putting wear and tear on the PSU), but I just wanted to know if this was just happening to me.
It's more of a minor annoyance, than anything else.

I'm beginning to think it's caused by my MSI K7T motherboards because when I use the same PSU on other mb's, it doesn't happen.
AND when I use different PSU's in the same motherboard(s), it happens too.

Anyone else have this happening to them?

TIA 😀

The same thing happens with my Asus A7V that I use for my second system. Does not happen with my new Soyo board.

When I plug my power cord into the computer, after working on it or cleaning it, it powers up, but not for just a few seconds, it stays on.
Kind of weird, I can't figure it out.
