A scanner that can scan in pictures from slides you know the small slides that go into that carosel device that projects the picturs up on to a wall or screen...
 
Yes it does exist. In my campus workplace, we have one by Nikon, don't know any specifics since people rarely use slides anymore. But google it and it should come up
 
a lot of flatbeds with high resolution scanning either come with, or you can purchase a slide adapter... it looks like a little box with two mirrors in it. Or you can just buy a slide/film scanner like the Canon CanoScan FS4000

yeah thats what i want but thats extremely pricey

Heh, yes they are. I always wanted one... but just got an Epson Perfection flatbed instead... You really dont NEED a film scanner unless you're looking to do poster size prints, the resolution and quality you'll get out of a good flatbed is all you need for a normal 4x6 or even 8x10s
