Does this community subscribe to George Carlins' 7 words you can't say?

I've seen some locked threads, and some salty language.Some seems OK, some gets a warning, some get locked, and some people get banished.I just want to know where the line is, I'm sure others' would appreciate knowing the same.No Profanity? Gay bashing? Porn?What????

The longer you've been here, the further the line gets from you.

If you're new, the line is right beneath your feet.
If you've been here a few months, the line is right beneath where your foot is about to land as you're walking.
If you're an important or elite member, or just been here a long time, the line is down the block and around the corner.


What does this mean? Well, essentially, it gets rid of the people who come here and start cursing the first time around. The people who've been here a while and should know better generally get off with a warning, but it's always possible to go 'too far' and get the wrong mod at the wrong place at the wrong time and be banned in any situation.

Just use common sense. No profanity (this is an all ages board, so there are young ones). There are a few words not on the banned word list, though, which you can use at your own discretion. No gay bashing..or any sort of bashing, whether it be racial, etc..we're all bound by our humanity here, not categorized by creed, color, race.., no verbally attacking a fellow member. If there is a debate going on, heated is ok, as long as it does not cross the line into attacking or flames. Absolutely no porn, no warez, obscenities, etc.

As for where the mods draw the line, it varies, depending on the severity of the rule infraction and the number of times a person has caused trouble. Locked threads are there as examples of what is and is not acceptable, so take note of them.

As far as George Carlin being lame,I dunno...I never saw him limp.

A gay bash could possibly be a party where everyone is happy.I remember on &quot;The Flintstones&quot; cartoon where the theme song said &quot;We'll have a gay old time&quot;.Maybe that was referring to a gay bash.
