just wondering if there is a cable that will let me run the tv's audio through to my comp headphones late at night. tv has l/r audio out and sound card has a line in

well, i run my cable box to my sound card and then it goes to my comp speakers, so I would say yeah. Look for a L/R to stereo mini plug, you may need an adapter to go from mini to whatever your sound card has, but it will work.
 
Hi, If your TV has Audio Output, two RCA jacks, then Radio Shack has the cable. Its two RCA plugs on one end and one mini stereo phone plug on the other. Plug phono jack into the LINE IN jack on your sound card. You will need to run the ear phones through an amplifier and plug the amp into the LINE OUT jack on the sound card.

Thanks so much for the help, a quick trip to radio shack and 10 seconds to run and connect the ends and it works Perfectely!!
