Does this battle scar look "normal"?

C-section this Monday. Complaining about incision hurting and feeling numb on day 5. Seems some redness where the staples dig into the skin. Called the doctor and he said that it sounds normal and an infection would be when the entire incision area is red. Doctor also said that going to the ER would be the only way to definitively judge whether it is truly and infection or not... or wait till the clinic is open on Monday.

What do you think of the redness?
 
It's fairly normal, especially with staples.

I'm actually surprised there's not any more bruising than that.
 
Are there urgent care clinics you can swing by? You can get an informed opinion and a real exam and it'd be a lot cheaper than an ED visit
