Does the Y.S. Tech T.M.D. fan really works better than convensional fans?

Hi have heard so much about this fan but yet to see any real evidence that it is better than a convensional fan. I am using the SLK900U with a 92mm color fan and it keeps my P4 2.4C@3.2Ghz at 44C idle and 57C full load. I wonder if the TMD fan will helps it keep the CPU a little cooler since the dead space in the middle is less.
What do you guys think?
Thanks.

I think it depends on the heatsink... id keep the 92mm if i were you... or perhaps a better one if you must buy something now.

To sum it up for me, I have two of the TMD fan?s setting in my closet. IMHO, there is no advantage to these fans, none. If I seen any advantage, it would be that the TMD fans look nice. When Y.S. Tech came out with the TMD fan, the 70mm fan was to be their first model. After that they said that they were going to make a 60mm and a 80mm fan too. Ask yourself why we do not see the other size fans.

I replaced the TMD fan, that came with my heatsink, with an 70mm to 80mm fan adapter and a 80mm fan. The adapter moved the fan back away from the heatsink, which reduces the dead air flow zone under the normal fan and the 80mm fan is quieter than the TMD fan. I did not loose any cooling performance and have a quieter computer, no low growl noise from the TMD fan. The 70mm to 80mm fan adapters can be found at SVC but are out of stock right now.
