And, if so, how much? And how much does it compare to how much we give to other countries?

The best I can do is an "You're an idiot for asking". Does the US give foreign aid to Britain? Australia? Etc etc.

I'm pretty sure we don't give foreign aid to Canada.

The U.S. and Canada are major trading partners though.

I think we probably do give them aid in the form of trade agreements. There are agreements in existence where we agree to buy a certain number of products and commodities from them which we could probably get cheaper elsewhere (third world countries).

Actually, you're a fvcking moron. And like most fvcking morons, you're not very helpful.

Go here for general info on foreign aid policy. I don't see why Canada would be included with these other countries.

I expect a minimum amount of world knowledge out of anyone who's got at least a couple years of high school under his/her belt. This is just damned sad and I have no qualms saying so.

The limits of what? Using a search engine to research foreign aid/policy? Look, I'm all for stupid questions. Take a look in the forum archives about an incredibly stupid question about batteries I've asked. I deserve the heckling I got there and by god others deserve the same. :D

It's not that stupid of a question. We give aid to lots of places, who was to say that we don't give aid in some sort to canada? Doesn't have to be purely financial, could be anything. When I searched google for a breakdown of foreign aid to different countries, the information was far from obvious. Took a while of searching before I could find anything relevent, and even then it doesn't specifically list the countries that receive aid.

The best I can do is an "You're an idiot for asking".

And you're a jackass.. beat it.

Yes we do give aid to Canada.
Mostly military aid.
Now that is interesting. I'm not necessarily taking a stance with this, but can you link/list a specific instance or agreement of this occuring? The Canadian federal government has debated the idea of allowing U.S. military units to operate autonomously within Canada and AFAIK, the idea was rejected because it was seen as a loss of sovereignty.

no :(
due to the un sanctions on canada we have nothing. why do you think the skroobs left? unfortunantly, they are some of the lucky ones which are few and far between.

poor souls such as myself and sully are stuck here barely able to afford internet and cable tv and *sob* university

pm me for details how you can sponser a starving canadian university student. (that would be me). your donation of just $50 (US) a month can change a canadian's life.
