Does the United States Hold the Moral Authority of the World?

Like the title says:

Does the United States Hold the Moral Authority of the World? Please also explain why, because an argument without supporting evidence is not worth the time to read.

I think this may help to explain the differences of opinion we see on this board in regard to international politics and relationships.

It's not a matter of "Moral Authority", it's all about the capacity to Militarily force one's will. It has nothing to do with God, Morals, or Destiny and everything to do with Power and the willingness to use it. All claims otherwise are Self-Justification for meddling in Others' affairs.
