The only thing that it will do is lighten your wallet and you faster and more fuel efficient that way. Otherwise its a worthless piece of crap that people are suckered into buying :D

Actually, it works in some applications, especially with a good air filter such as K&N. In other applications, it does nothing. Knowing which applications, that is the trick. I forgot where I saw it, but there's an independent test on several makes/models, and that's what they found. I think the Mustang was one where it made a difference, while a Chevy Tahoe actually got 1-2 miles per gallon LESS using the Tornado.

tcsenter I would definatley challenge the results of such a test. Cars are quite well designed in this aspect from the spray patter of the fuel injectors, to natural "swirl" action that the throttle body induces, the finish on the inside of the head and intake manifold....all of these come together to make a great system to do what the tornado supposedly does. Any positive result is just slight variations in the wind conditions, etc. I expect less than 1% of people would truly see any improvement, and even then I doubt enough of one to justify the cost. At least those are my 2 cents ;)

Well, if you're going to do so, at least get yourself a dozen cars, a dynometer and test the damned things. We'll take a look. Until then, opinions are like assholes, right? They've got the tests, if you want to challenge them, do your own.

No, they don't work at all. In fact, it restricts airflow, causing a loss in HP. Modern cars can measure the air flow intake rate, so by having one of these installed, you are hindering performance.

No, but my magic moosecrap fuel saver will, send me 4 payments of $39.95 & I promise that you'll think your mileage & performance are better. If you give me $49.95, I'll sell you a magical device that deflects bird$hit from your car when parked under a tree.

Seriously, if a device that cheap would save money, the auto manufacturers would have already installed it, they're under a lot of pressure to raise mileage and have already done everything cheap that they can find...

Best bet is to buy a K&N air filter or an intake system, might see a little boost in mileage, and you'll have an air filter that lasts the life of your car;). The reason intake systems work is because they defeat the long noise reducing ductwork & bends, resonators etc that keep intake noise down...

You can still send me money though:D
