Does the TB Santa Cruz come with a standard WinDVD2000 M (by standard I mean upgradable from their website)?

I'm considering this card, and I saw it comes with WinDVD 2000 2.2M on a review I read.

Can you upgrade this to 2.3M from the WinDVD website, or is it a weird OEM version you can't upgrade?

I'm not sure... Actually, I don't remember getting WinDVD at all with mine. But since I didn't have a DVD at the time, I might very well have just threw the cd off to the side.

I'll take a look tonight when I get home and see what I can find out.

My TB Santa Cruz did not bring windvd2000 nor any other dvd player.Though I wish it did maybe its being bundled now with it.

That makes sense. I purchased my SC several months ago, so maybe they weren't bundling it then.

I bought mine quite a few months ago as well and it was bundeled with WinDVD. I never installed it because I don't have a DVD player, but I could surely check when I get home and see if it is upgradeable.

The review at 3dss.com that said it came with WinDVD v2.2 was from the end of October...did you get an OEM version of the card maybe?

The only reason I'm curious is that my DVD rom came with WinDVD 1.2.99d and it seems to be a special version, there is no support for it from InterVideo and I don't seem to be able to upgrade (to v1.3, I know I can't go to 2000).

I just want to make sure if I got v2.2 with the card I could update to 2.3 or 2.6 or whatever the current one is.

I bought the card less than a month ago in retail and it did not come with WinDVD.

Errr, I'm sorry guys. I had WinDVD sitting here right next to my Santa Cruz and assumed it came with it. But it says its version 1.3.1a. Anyone know how old this is (Copyright 1999)? I coulda sworn it came with my Santa Cruz but maybe it came with another piece of hardware. It looks like a full version none the less, Serial number and all.
