Does the Seagate Cheetah 15.3K 73GB Monster needs extra HDD cooling? Please advise me.

Yupz...my seagate 73GB 15.3K cheetah should be arriving this week and I am gonna use it for my OS/Game/Application disk. I am wondering if the cheetah will feel at home in my Lian Li PC 6085 Case with the 2X 80MM fan blowing towards to HD bracket. Are those sufficient to cool the drive or should get more powerful drive coolers? Can i also place a 7200RMP Drive above/below it? the Distance between the two drives are 2 HDD height combined. Is it advisable?

Thanks guys...

can't wait for that sprinter to arrive.

The cooling will be plenty, especially with that much space between the drives. They don't actually put out monstrous amounts of wattage these days. 😎 Congrats on your new drive, it's going to make your face do this ---> :Q😀😎

As long as you allow 1/4" of space between drives, you will be fine with the active cooling in your system. The drives should run well below thermal limits. These drives will get hot with no airflow so make sure your fans are running!
