Does the R7 260X automatically crossfire?

I'm getting a Gigabyte r7 260x 2gb version. I will use a 7770 along with that, to mine for Litecoin as I'm doing other stuff. I know that the r7 260x doesn't need a bridge to crossfire, but, will it crossfire even though I don't want it to? (I don't see any crossfire setting to enable/disable in Catalyst.)

First of all, the R7 260X does need the bridge. Second, even if it didn't, the 7770 would still need it. So, no. No bridge = no crossfire for these cards

*sigh* I knew that there would be some confusion with my question. I am not trying to crossfire the 7770 and the 260x. I know that's impossible. Catalyst simply doesn't show that there's even a 2nd card in the system, so that worries me. Is it crossfiring in the background without telling me? I hate crossfiring low-end cards.

Well, thank you for saying that. It's weird because when I plug in two 7770 cards (without the bridge), Catalyst will still know that both cards are there. But, one 260x and one 7770; and Catalyst doesn't say anything.

Catalyst will offer Crossfire option when is able.

You don't want to use crossfire for mining. For other stuff, maybe...

^Yes, that's why I didn't want these two cards to crossfire in the background (as per my original post). I just plain don't like crossfiring with any low-end to mid-level cards, for anything.
