Does the program PoProxy have something to do with RC-5

Per chance did you mean PerProxy? if so, it is associated with RC5 and OGR, and is used to manage fetching and flushing of work units to multiple PCs running the distributed.net client, as well as providing statistics on the PC output. 😀

I'll guess you also have Norton 2001 running.
POPROXY is an email virus scanner.
it runs it's own POP Proxy on your machine, and checks all emails, before letting Outlook or Outlook Express receive the email.

POPROXY is a good thing.
