Does the Post Office in the rest of the country suck as much as it does in South Fla?

Its taking roughly 2 weeks to get mail (from the day its sent till it arrives) down here... This is getting freaking old already, did they take the extra $.03 cents per stamp (and god knows how much for for priority) and spend it on hookers and booze?

They NEVER used to be this horrible though.... I would say its just a fluke, but its not, 2 weeks on average for anything sent first class, no matter how far...

They take the extra money and build/lease storage facilities so they can keep your mail longer before delivering it.

Random thing most people don't know -> USPS is now charging rates based on zone for Priority packages over 1 lb.

Every other service was supposedly raised 8.5% (can't guarantee the accuracy of that.. just what the AMPC told my company).

The anthrax schtuff really messed up the post office's budget, as they had to get equipment for scanning at sort facilities.

I'm also sure their rates increase gradually due inflation, as every other industry does. I wish they would just raise stamps to 50 cents and keep it that way for 5 years. I'm tired of people asking to buy 3 cent stamps.

You should tell BlueFront. He has a plan to revolutionize the Postal Service.

There is a simple answer to all these Post Office complaints and it's known as a Christmas gratuity. I have an absolutely fabulous mailgirl. She rings my bell. And don't forget we are among the vast sea of the lunitic public that doesn't know jack sh!t about how our mail gets delivered and the source of all manner of halarious and stupid complaints.
