Does the Nokia 8260 signal booster really work?

The reception on these is really good already. You wouldn't even need a signal booster even if it worked.

I have a coworker who bought one of those for the same phone and it did not help at all from what he could tell. Our desks are bordering a deadzone in our building and sometimes he'd lose signal - he was looking for something just to boost it a little bit to get over the problem and it did nothing.
