Does the MSI Turbo mobo post hot temp readings?

Just changed over my old setup from a MSI Pro2A with a T-bird 700 and Chrome Orb, to a much nicer (IMHO) setup - an MSI Turbo-R with Taisol 742 (same chip).

I figured that putting the Taisol on would help my temp readings, but the BIOS and desktop heat monitors are both showing the same thing... my T-bird 700@850 is running 44C. Before, with the C-Orb, the temps would normally print at 40C or so. I figured since the Taisol is so much better a hs/fan unit than the C-Orb, my temps would be considerably lower, since i'm overclocking to about the same level (not going to try to push the 'bird too hard, since i plan on keeping it for a while, or at least passing it on to a friend or family member).

Have those out there with the Turbo board noticed this same situation? Does the K7T Turbo display a higher temp with the thermistor than the Pro2A does? I figure i'm well within the safety zone now, but curious more than anything...

what kind of grease are you using? did you "melt" the pad that comes with the Taisol?

Also, the taisol doesn't mess with the socket-thermistor readings. I do not know if the K7t-Turbo "reads" higher than hte other msi boards, but I kinda doubt that.

took the PCM pad off the Taisol, and using Arctic Silver, same as before... same case also, Antec SX-830, with 2 Panaflos for cooling, one front, one rear...
