nope. The only current platforms supporting NCQ are intel's new LGA775 mobos (with ICH5 controller) and the about-to-be-released NF4. Out of the two, NF4 is the only one to support SATA-II. VIA's K8T890 Pro will eventually support NCQ, but not until they release their VT8251 southbridge, which has all but dropped off the face of the earth, so I'm guessing they are having some SERIOUS troubles getting it to work. If you're looking for AMD, you're gonna have to wait a couple weeks to get an NF4 Ultra or SLI mobo.

As for the Barracuda drive, are you talking about 7200.8 drives? If so, I'd either wait for 16MB cache versions, or go with the Maxtor Diamondmax 10 drives. The 8MB versions aren't really that much faster than their predecessors. The 16MB cache makes a huge difference, on the other hand, much more than NCQ. I'm planning to get a 16MB DM10 unless seagate gets their act together and releases larger cache drives.

Thanks. I think I'll wait for nForce 4. I was gonna buy right after Christmas, but now I guess I'll wait for the tech to mature a little. Early adopters always seem to take it in the rear.
