Does the MS Wheel Mouse Optical have the NEW Intellieye technology?

This is so confusing..... or do I have to get the Intellimouse Optical for the new technology? Anyone have a Wheel Mouse Optical?

I think optical and intellieye are the same thing no? There is old and 33% faster new intellieye. Both my microsoft mice have a wheel and both have intellieye, are optical, one older 1.0 version and a newer unspecified on the mouse version. Not too clear on your question so hope this helps.

On the MS website they talk the NEW Intellieye technology. Is it on all their optical mice or just the Intellimouse Optical mouse and the mice more expensive than that.

In other words, does the entry level Wheel Mouse Optical have the NEW Intellieye technology or is it still using the slower Intellieye(optical) technology.

I believe it would be on all the "latest" models being sold.
Just make sure what model you are buying since they tend to sell like version 1 and version 3.0 Explorer at the same time at the same vendor sometimes so you really have to know what models have it or don't. I have an old version 1 MS intellimouse Explorer and it is pretty responsive and fast so I don't think the "new" intellieye is all that much better.
