hey all...i'm noticing the many choices that i have for mobos. i'm most likely going to get another ASUS. i was wondering if i purchased a radeon chipset board such as http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813131584 would it make sense to purchase a radeon card for better compatibility? ...or is this not really a big issue? .. the same would hold true for an nvidia chipset board and a nvidia card.

thanks in advance!

Not unless you want to go with a 2 card solution now or in the future. If you have no interest in SLI or Crossfile, get whatever motherboard you want. ATI video cards work just fine in Nvidia Nfoce motherboards and vice versa

If you do want SLI*two video cards working in tandem*, you will need 2 SLI enabled Nvidia video cards of the same model, and an Nforce 4 SLI motherboard.

If you want to use ATI crossfire, you will need an ATI Crossfire motherboard, and an ATI Mastercard / standard combo.

Ati's website has very simple instructions on what parts are needed and how to install the crossfire cards. You will also need a powersupply that has the cables to power your crossfire or SLI cards.
