Does the Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad work with Win2k?

I have one of the older Sidewinder gamepads and I can't seem to get it to work under Win2k. For some strange reason the CD that comes with the pad won't load the software on Win2k and none of the OS drivers seem to work properly.

Anyone seen this problem before?

The software won't work in Win2K. However you don't need it, all you have to do is go to the Control Panel --> Gaming Options. Click on ADD and then go to the bottom of the list, there you will find the Sidewinder Gamepad. Double click on it and that's it, it's now installed.

I've got the Gamepad Pro and it works fine under Win2K. As far as I remember I just loaded the CD that came with it.
