Does the latest version of Mandrake Linux support USB?

Some time ago I tried having my mouse on USB.
My keybaord was PS/2, and my mouse has PS/2 emulation set in the BIOS.

Mandrake's installation program didn't have a mouse in it even with PS/2 emulation... 🙁 Once I had it all installed, my KDE desktop worked with the mouse, but the install didn't....

Now I'm thinking of setting my mouse and keybaord to USB w/ PS/2 Emulation....does anyone know how to get around this install problem?
