Does the lack of T&L compatibility hurt the Kyro II

Got a friend looking at picking one up for his AMD XP CPU rig...I'm wondering if this will prove to be a royal pain in the ass, or a minor irritant.

T&L games will still run because the CPU will take over the job of handling the calculations. The problem is that you'll take some performance hits - quite major in some games (eg Giants, Aquanox).

Yes, that happens to be the #1 major complaint about that video card, no T&L of any sort. That card isent worth a penny to me, it was obsolete before it was even released.

Hurt compliancy? Not ever. Obselete? Depends on your prefference, but mine is 1024x768@32bit color and anything over 60fps. If that's your preference, it's not obselete.

Dude, I run it in my XP 1600+ and I ran it in my 1ghz athlon with over 80fps in q3 runnin 1280x1027x32 with everything cranked. I am not complaining one bit, in fact, I want one for both my machines
