Does the ICH5R RAID controller run off of the PCI bus?

I replaced with P4C800 with a P4C800-E Deluxe and moved from the Promise RAID controller that was on the older board to the Intel SATA RAID controller. I've checked using SiSoft SANDRA and it says that it's operating at 66MHz, so I'm thinking that it's not on the PCI bus. Am I right?

It is part of the south bridge controller and not on the PCI bus. I have that same board in my primary machine and have been extremely pleased with it. This machine has been rock solid since I built it.

the ICH5R raid controler is part of the south bridge as Linflas said. it is not part of the PCI bus, it runs off Intel's "Hub Link" I belive it has 266MB/s bandwith or possibly more in I875 but I forget.
