That's easy. It's mostly, strike that......It's all racism. When former Secretaries of State, Rice and Powell, vote for Bobo, the Post Turtle, because his skin is dark, you know it's just all racism.

it was either him or mccain... can you really blame them?

Hey man no offense, but that nickname for Obama is not only unfunny, but it's cumbersome to say. You've got to be able to do better than that.

I personally love it when Republicans look at black ethnic solidarity and shriek 'OMG RACISM!'. You guys should probably think it through more.

So how does it feel being a self avowed Racist calling those whom you look down upon because their race Racists themselves?

Both Gore and Kerry got about 90% of the black vote. The only explanation for why Obama only got about 5% more of it than they did was that everyone must have thought Gore and Kerry were black.

...but Bobo, the Post Turtle, is NOT black. The most he might be is an octoroon.

Since whether or not someone is black is a social construct, he is whatever society considers him to be. Society clearly considers him to be black, and so he is. If you don't consider him black, then I guess black people weren't voting for him out of racism. Glad to see we've solved this problem together!

Also, can you explain Gore and Kerry both netting about 90% of the black vote? Did people mistake them for black? Maybe black people are just overwhelmingly likely to vote for Democrats. This is the sort of thing that happens when a political party explicitly crafts its electoral policy for awhile on ginning up anti-black racism, btw.

I'm pretty sure that if George Bush invited a country singer to the white house, with known affiliations to the KKK, that sang songs with lyrics like "I like to lynch *******, but no time for that now because we have to balance the budget first", liberals would probably still be upset.

WHAT? How is Common at all in comparable to a country singer with known KKK affiliations?

Nice publicity photos. Really can you put lipstick on a pig?

Media Brainwashing Techniques?

Would you wonder why people that lie cheat and steal and live off the government would vote Democratic?

Yet another 'controversy'. Mainstream rapper/actor Common gets invited to the WH for poetry night or something, not to draft the Reparations Bill the right keeps having wet dreams about. And every white republican in the hemisphere comes out to paint him as the head of the New Black Panthers. Good job.

With the soon to be white plurality ever shrinking it's simply a matter of years until the GOP is completely eradicated. Anti-gay, blackophobic and xenophobic, anti-muslim, nationalistic and nativistic...a seriously vestigial political organ.

Blackophobic? You libs love coming up with new words to coin your hatred on people who think differently than you, don't ya.

They don't even want to discuss how anti-gay, anti-gay marriage the Hispanic voting block is.

Way to duck the OP's point by bringing up a tangent which, if true, doesn't defeat the OP's point in the least.

BTW, the black voting bloc is considerably more anti-gay than is the hispanic voting bloc, but none of that means that the GOP isn't alienating the black vote, as the OP says.

I'd posit that the majority of negative responders in this thread haven't watched the linked video.

In case anyone cares why I haven't responded, it's b/c pretty clearly not one poster critical of my OP has watched the video and experienced the hypocrisy. It's ok, they can bury their heads in the sand if they want to. Demographics don't care if people pay attention, they will change regardless. With non-whites voting heavily democratic, conservative whites should be concerned about their voting block and its imminent demise. Tick tock.

I didn't watch the video. Video runs real time, too painfully slow compared to reading or typing to be endured. Besides, no wisdom is to be found on Youtube. However, singing about cop killing with a statement at the end something like "no time for that, we have positive stuff to do" strikes me as no more than the "redeeming social statement" that used to be required in porn to make it art rather than obscenity - self-serving and fooling no one.

Demographics can and will change, and if they change to give democrats more power to screw up the country, so be it, I'll be long gone by then. Tick tock all you want.

Also... Is there really a reparations bill floating around?

If Michael Jordan was descended from slaves, is he going to get a check? Or would the logical argument be made that Michael Jordan would never have been Michael Jordan without slavery?

That's my take on reparations.

PS: I hope it wasn't racist to use Michael Jordan as an example in my post just because he's a black man.
