Does the FireTV play 4k content w/ Kodi

I am thinking of getting a 4k TV for chirstmas, I am wondering if the new Amazon TV will play 4k content with a Kodi frontend. Thanks.

No unless it's h264 (which is rare for 4K content). You need an Nvidia Shield for 4K hevc playback.
