Does the Evo have a case real armor over the screen

So. I'm getting a new Evo 4g for cheap from a friend. However, i work in a place with lots of counter tops and sharp surface top corners right at hip height. Does any one know of a case for an Evo 4g that would have a clam shelling metal front to it? If its in my pocket, i don't know why i would want screen exposed like the other 100% of cases i have come across. I had one for my PSP made of aluminum, and it was great. Made it practically bullet proof. I am just not sure these ones with the reactive membranes over them will protect my phone from me walking in to a sharp counter top.
 
Cheapest solution is just to turn the screen against your leg. If you want the best protection get an otterbox but they aren't cheap. My EVO survived a year on patrol riding naked in my shirt pocket with no issues at all.
 
My evo has some light scratches and I've been using it without any cases/film at all since I got it on release day. The glass is pretty good. Otherwise, the Otterbox does look pretty good, but I've never owned one. It's $50, though.
