2 weeks is not a long time. HIV can have an incubation time of 20 years.

The epidemiologist who was quoted in the report I read seemed to think it was a long time, in the context of controlling the spread. So I'm going with his opinion for now.

As a kid I was a bit of a hypochondriac, but I got over it. Ebola won't worry me unless people start getting it in my vicinity. Then it will worry me. I think as a kid I just didn't know much in the way of facts about illnesses, diseases, etc.

Atlanta CDC? D:

Thing is, they couldn't film at the real CDC and it looks nothing like that. :p

On a related note, they were filming right outside this apartment just the other night. I know it was convenient for Melissa McBride because she lives in this same building. I saw her walking Lincoln and talking to two crew members right outside the parking lot entrance, so she definitely seemed to be taking advantage of the convenience unless she wasn't really involved in filming that night (she looked to be in-character though). They filmed again the next night and all the Walker-Stalkers (crazed fanatics) were out in force blocking access to the apartment!

According to 5 Questions about Ebola, answered with infographics, Ebola poses no risk for people living in the USA. The means of transmission is the reason. Probably the worst epidemic in history was the Bubonic plague, which killed off maybe 1/2 of Europe and China around the 14th century. They didn't know it then, but the virus was carried by fleas infesting rats, and was easily communicable human to human, a much different story.
