Does the e8200 have the same (incorrect) temp prob as the e8400 ?

Haven't been able to find any info.

As far as I've read about, yes. Even the QX9650 had the same issues when it was released back in December of last year. But the problem today is probably more centered around the Wolfdale models, not the Yorkfields. I might be wrong though, but I came to this conclusion after spending quite some time on various discussion forums and seeing results and comments/observations. But overall it seems that the motherboard manufacturers still need to improve compatibilities by releasing newer BIOS revisions.

They may all have the same problem until the next stepping. That would be my guess. I would expect it to be fixed in March when the new stepping is scheduled to be released to the public.

yes 8200 8400 and 8500 all have bad temp readings. I still dont think it needs a new stepping revision or anything like that. Updated bioses & temperature software will fix the issues IMO

I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary with my eVGA 680i and E8400. Both cores idle at around 40C and at load the temps are betwen 60C and 63C. This was tested with the latest beta version of SpeedFan.
