Hi...
I would like to buy a video card soon.
First of all, i am not a heavy gamer! i often play some games but not too much...
In the beginning i thought to buy Chaintec GeForce 4 Ti4200 in a hope that this card will run a games like Enter The Marix, GTA: Vice City, UT2003, Splinter Cell and the like...
But i've get confused becaus of those persons who tell me that i should get a card that is good in AA and AF.
Actualy they recommend me about the R9500P and the R9700.
Now i want to ask you: Dose the AA and the AF are so important? Are the difference with/without AA and AF are so huges?

yeah, they do make the games look a lot nicer.

are you just upgrading your video or the cpu also.

what cpu are you using now?

iv recently upgraded from a p3 866 & geforce2 to a geforce4 4800 then a whole system upgrade with an ati 9800 card.

going from a geforce2 to a 4 was a decent upgrade, but the ati card plays the games (ut2k3, vice city) amazing.

its such a huge difference playing them on the new card. so yeah, if you can afford it, get the 9700 or 9800.

Yes, the 9500Pro is a good choice and is true AF and AA make a huge diference.
I have a 9700PRO nowadays and I'm very happy with it's perfomance and awesome image quality when AA/AF enabled at 4x and 8/16x.

9500pro is a great card.
to be honest, I don't like having AA on. Things just seem a little blurrier to me, and i don't really like the performance hit. I know this seems counterintuitive, but my eyes kind of hurt when AA is on.
I can't live without AF though. Once you get used to it, its hard to turn off. the textures just get so clear.

I think the 9500pro will be a good card for that system at a good price. you might compare prices with the 9600pro.
