I don't have a 24-pin ATX connector, what should I do?
Due to the power requirements needed to support PCI-Express, it is highly recommended using power supply units mounting a 24-pin main power connector. Power delivery will be insufficient if adapt 20-pin connector to 24-pin. The system might work with a 20-pin PSU plus adaptor; but there will be certainly instability after continuously running for a span. Hence, it is better using a power supply unit mounting a 24-pin main power connector.

I run a 24 pin psu in my DFI rig...
DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D,
A64 X2 4400 Toledo @ 2420MHz
MSI X800pro, Silent Boost Lapped
Maxtor 6Y120MO and 6Y160MO SATA HDs
Corsair 2x512-XMS-4000PRO v3.1
Vantec 520 Stealth PSU
some people do, about 10% of all dfi dfi nf4 users IIRC. there was a poll on dfi.street some time ago about it.Originally posted by: bjc112
Can anyone confirm if they have a 24->20pin adapter working well?

which antec do you have?
personally, i'd just sell it and get a native 24 pin but thats up to you.
and i use the same bios as rustler on my x2's, the 6.23, but anything from 5.10 and up should have x2 support.

i've used a 20 pin. it's okay but it's not recommended.
as for bios... anything after 5/10 should be okay. or 3/31

Did you stay with the 20 pin?
Did it work fine for all your overclocks as well?
