I've seen the quarterly couponds for 750 off 1500 and stuff, but ive never seen a coupon or code valid on the XPS. Do these things ever come cheap?

Solution: Buy an E1705 with the $750 off coupon, its just an XPS with Core Duo, but without the GTX part of the 7800 or the stupid lights, good trade off IMO

Card and Plastics can be bought aftermarket if you wanted too. Though your Dell Complete Care would be void afterwards. Personally I would go this route. The E1705/9400 is a solid machine for the price.

In the process of getting a 7800 Go for my 9300 🙂 Who cares if it voids the Dell warranty? I only have 3 months left on it

I agree on the E1705 recommendation (mini review) but which $750 coupon are you referring to?

If you're referring to the wildly popular $750 off $1499 coupon, good look.

1) Who knows if/when that coupon will ever return, it's been months since we last saw one. The closest would be $750 off $1999 which expired last month.

2) XPS models are usually excluded from coupons.

If it counts - the XPS GEN2 comes with free filter lights, cooler lights, back of the screen lights in any color you want! 🙂

Friend of mine just used I believe a $700 off $1999 (correct me if I'm wrong) to buy his E1705. So the epic 749 off 1499 has gone MIA, but when I used it to get my 9300 my laptop was priced well over 1499 anyways, probably won't be missed.

Yes there was a $750 off $1999 coupon which expired last month. There are some others right now but nothing super sizzling hot I'm afraid. Hopefully with the end of quarter approaching we'll receive some super hawt coupons 😛

I wish they'd do more than a $750 off (don't care about minimum price). My 9300 is a little long in the tooth when it comes to games, I may just sell it off instead of getting a 7800 for it and just grab an E1705.

$650 off $2000 coupons have been pretty common, recently. This usually gets you a E1705 with WUXGA, 7800, core duo, 1 gig of ram, dvd burner, and 80 gig hd for ~$1500 shipped.

I'd like that for under $1,275 shipped, can you make that happen? 😛

I've actually seen it for as low as $1380 before shipping. That's better than anywhere else for those specs. But you know that 😛
