Just ordered a Dell U2410 and I want to use its Display Port with my new 5870. Does the U2410 come with a Display Port cable or do I need to buy one?

Thanks

No, of course it's not permanent.

For whatever reason Dell likes to ship their monitors with the VGA cable attached. It's the standard detachable VGA cable, just pre-attached for the idiots who wouldn't be able to figure it out on their own.

Saves people who have to unbox and install dozens of them quite a lot of time too - one less thing to unwrap and attach for every monitor.

I think they test the monitors with the VGA cable. Someone probably did the math, and figured out that if they just leave the VGA cable connected over time it saves them a lot of money.
