Does the Dell Dimension 8400 have a standard ATX power supply?

Dell uses standard schmatics for its Motherboard connections, but often uses propritary PSU housing dimensions for its Umit. So a standard antec will work, but may not fit the Dell Case.

Go to PC Power and Cooling and Use thier power supply selector. They are know to be the best PSU in the industry. Seriously, compaire and you will see that all others are inferrior chineese made shit.

PS why do you want to change the PSU in a Dell anyways?

Im not really worried about changing it, but if it goes out, how would like to put in a store bought atx one.

Im getting conflicting stories about their power supplys. I read elsewhere that before 2002, they didnt use standard parts. Other people say its somewhat standard, but the wires are crosses a different way to stop you from putting a new one in.
