Does the Athlon 1.2 / 266-C come factory unlocked?

I have read that the Athlon 1.2 / 200 always has the multiplier factory unlocked.

Is that also true for the Atlon 1.2/266-C?
What about the 1.0-C and 1.13-C?

I've read @ most places that the 266 bus comes unclocked. Not positive though. I sure hope so!

Say. Can the older Thunderbirds run with a 266 FSB?

If so, is there a performance difference between an overclocked classic Thunderbird and a "C" Thunderbird?

if you're running @ 133bus, there is no difference. The chips are basically identical cept for the multiplier

just looked at a couple 1.2 b stepping (200mhzbus) tbirds and they were both unlocked. Haven't had a chance to examine any c stepping (266bus) birds yet although I have a 1.33 ordered through my parts supplier. The database is currently showing a few 1.33's in stock but the resellers are not allowed to advertise them yet. It may take 1-3 weeks for me to get it. I will post whether it is locked or not when i get it.

My 1.2 Ghz "c" came unlocked from the factory. I've heard that from a couple of other guys as well...
