Does the ASUS A7V133 require a fan RPM signal to run?

The reason I ask is I have a very sweet (28 cfm, 20 dba) 80mm fan I want to use on my Alpha when it arrives. The only problem is it does not have an RPM monitor.

Does the A7V133 require an RPM monitored fan to run?
If so, is it possible to bypass the "feature?"

Not 100% on the A7V133, but my K7M will give me a nasty beeping if it show 0RPM on the CPU fan (ie the fan is not connected and/or not running).

But I can just go in to the hardware monitor setup in the BIOS and tell it to disable CPU fan RPM monitoring and then it goes on it's merry way.

I dont think it requires a fan with RPM monitor. Disable it in your hardware monitor in the bios.

I have both a K7M and an A7V133. Both will emit loud beeps if a monitored fan stops spinning. It will not shut down automatically.

OK, as long as it can be disabled I'll be fine. I don't care about RPM monitoring, I want to use this fan.
