Does the Apple logo glow on Macbooks?

I'm tempted to get a MacBook to try out a Mac (not the pros, the normal ones). I noticed some pics seem to have the Apple logo on the back almost glowing. Is it just trick lighting or does it actually glow?

it does not glow. Rather, there is an apple cut out on the back, and the backlight of the screen shines through there

No, see, the apple itself does not glow, the cut out of the apple is a frosted window behind which is the backlighting.

It would make it appear to glow yes, but it does not actually glow.

Mostly i am giving a possibly uncalled for, smart-a$$ remark to this guy's question.

The Macbook Pro even has a glowing keyboard. No, wait... There are backlights under the keyboard so it just looks like they glow but in reality they don't glow by themselves. :D ;)

See, this guy gets it! :) Now, the little LED that pulsates white when the system is asleep... that is glowing
