According to this site, it says the hsf comes in contact with one of the capacitors. Does anyone have the above configuration and did not need to mod the alpha?

it's a very tight fit, but it works without doing harm to any capacitors. only one will touch the heatsink, no problem.
how do i know ? i have exactly that combination at home ;).

There actually seems to be some slight differences in 8KHA+ boards. I have the same combo and my 8045 does not even touch it.

oups, i'll feel the wrath of a jedi if i don't correct myself.
PCHPlayer is absolutely right. you'll have no problem mounting the heatsink (almost plenty of spare room).
the revision of my mobo is 2.0, if that helps.

:)

Yes the ALpha 8045 HSF will fit on the Epox 8KHA+ motherboard without any problems, however it does contact on of the capacitors. Mine has been like this for over a week without any problems.

A++ setup!!!
