Does the Accoustic Edge support large speaker mode in 5.1 analog?

I know almost all (probably not almost..) computer speakers are small mode, but I don't want to use computer speakers. I want to get a Yamaha RVX496 and get some real speakers. But of course loud speakers are all full range, so I want full range input on the analog channels. So I'm looking for a 5.1 soundcard that will have large speaker mode, and the Acoustic Edge impresses me far more than anything creative has though up, and even more than the Santa Cruz.

I just don't know if 5.1 modes on sound cards are large or small...does anyone?

Note: For those of you that don't know, Small speaker mode means that low frequency is sent only to the LFE channel (sub), in large speaker mode, the fronts and surrounds are full range so they get low frequency as well, in large speaker mode the LFE channel is usually hooked to a powered sub and you get a massive thump from it, but all the speakers have some bass response.

To answer your question, yes. Low frequencys are sent to me satelites. Even though I am running in 4.1 and there is a sub out.

Thanks...yeah it should still have a separate sub output in Large mode. The "satelites" (not sure if that term is appropriate since my front left/right are going to be about 2x as big as my case...) produce some bass but they still can't compete with a proper sub. I'm still going to get a 12" powered sub and hook it up to the LFE output on the amp so I need a separate sub input, I just want my main speakers to produce bass to.

In the kind of sattelites I'm talking about there should be.

These big loud speakers have 2 or 3 separate drivers/cones in them, with a single line input, so there should be some kind of cross over to direct different frequencies at the different sized drivers, or maybe the drivers just ignore frequencies that are too high/low for them? Not sure...I'm not a speaker expert....
