does the A7N8X have ata raid?

A7N8X doesn't have any RAID capabilities.
A7N8X-Deluxe has SATA RAID only, no PATA RAID.

Boards that I know that have PATA RAID are the DFI Lan Party and the Gigabyte 7N400Pro
 
the gigabyte is $118 , the Lan Paty is $156 @ newegg...but the DFI comes with a few extras, a carrying device for PC for LP's. So i geuss personal preference/price
