Does the 2nd gen iPod touch have the 2.2 firmware already?

Wondering that with the new 16gb 2nd gen iPod touch I just bought for Christmas for my sister, if she will have to upgrade to the 2.2 firmware, or if it already comes on there...

Or if we have to upgrade, do we have to pay the $10?

It comes with 2.0 which means you can upgrade to 2.x for free. My gf's iPod touch is a 2G and it came with 2.0.

The iPod Touch 1G comes with 1.x software. I believe mine came with like 1.1.4 or 1.1.3? You would have to pay $10 to upgrade that.
