I can buy 600 tablets of benadryl for like 9 bucks on Amazon, its just a big bottle of the pink tablets. Ive always wondered if that affects the potency vs the individually sealed tablets ive been buying in packs of 24.
I was actually talking about if theres a difference between a bunch of pills loose in a bottle, and the ones that are individually sealed. Like if it could affect the potency at all. I'm guessing it doesn't unless it's something that is light-sensitive, which I imagine benadryl isn't.
There should be no difference afaik (assuming you're not letting moisture get to the ones in a bottle). And I hope I know what I'm talking about, as I completed 4 months of pharmacy school.
Then again, I completed only 4 months of pharmacy school.
For the record, I do remember lectures specifically on generic vs. non-generic versions of a drug, and since that came up in the post above: there is effectively little to no difference between the two. However, technically speaking, they are not the same (in purity, composition, and effect if you graph it). It's just that they are VERY similar, within tight tolerances.

No, it doesnt. They do that to make you believe you are getting some powerful medicine for the cost. Its a marketing gimmick.
Yes its also convenient to keep count of them, but for me that is not worth the price premium.
