Does switching phones w/ Sprint when not under contract let you keep your plan?

I'm recently out of contract with sprint and have a $10/month unlimited data plan. I'd like to upgrade to a treo 700p (currently have i500), does anyone know if I can activate a treo and still keep my same plan? (Only going to be keeping one line of service).
