Question Does SUPERMICRO MBD-X12STL-IF-O motherboard support Xeon W-1250 CPU with ECC RAM

It appears no, though socket is LGA 1200 and I know 10th and 11th Gen both use that and the chipsets on the consumer side were cross compatible.

It mentions that it supports Xeon E-2300 CPUs and 10th Gen Pentium CPUs.

So does this mean it does not work with Xeon W series CPUs? Or would it work with Xeon W series CPUs with full functioning ECC RAM that is.

I have googled and cannot find an answer.

I had just purchased a Xeon W-1250 on ebay for a good price and then I realized this so cancelled order and successful but if that CPU works it would be a good buy.

I am not sure, I would reach out to Supermicro perhaps, to see if it could work. I looked up the Xeon W-1250 on Intel Ark, and since it is a 6 core comet lake with an 80W TDP, I would think it would work, but you never know what with finicky Supermicro BIOS.

Also, if the CPU itself is cheap enough, I would consider just ordering one and testing. Now I know that this is a much older Xeon, but for instance, Westmere 6 core Xeons can be found for $20 or less typically. Even the LGA 2011v3 Xeons are fairly cheap these days to my understanding.

Thanks for the help guys but upon further thinking going to go a different direction and not deal with Super Micro unknown undocumented info and cancelled the order or return unopened box if it is too late to void/cancel it.
